Securely, she walks through this world fully awake, deeply grounded and connected to the human family. She creates sensual beauty and harmony among all living beings. Her position on this planet is powerful and her healing love flows freely. Her message of well-being is transmitted silently but heard by all in need. Her keen intuition guides her path. Wrapped by a serpent, her amethyst crown has millions of tiny light~connection points that constantly receive and broadcast universal knowledge. Her name is Ixchel, Moon Goddess, Mayan medicine Woman.
Ancient depictions portray her as a Crone, to symbolize wisdom; with a snake on her head to symbolize awakened kundalini. She carries a large satchel over one shoulder and a walking stick in her other hand. The large satchel to symbolize strength and carried healing remedies. The walking stick is a symbol of her earthly travels, although I think the walking stick is her wisdom wand and magical scepter. The ancient Maya believed in many Gods, but only one Goddess, Ixchel.
On this April full moon we dedicated our ceremony to Her. The core Moon Mothers tribe gathered at sunset to embody the spirit of Ixchel. By way of breath meditation we woke our sleeping kundalini serpent and summoned her to move up through our chakras, clearing any blocked energy so we could begin to infuse our tree branchlets with enchanted energy. Paying homage to Ixchel the weaver, we wove silk around the small boughs while reciting “I am” and “I am grateful” mantras. This simple sober practice is a powerful way to shift stale blocks and renew life force energy.
When our ceremony came to an end each woman headed home with a powerful tallismen to bring healing energy to their home and family.
Blessings to you, blessing to your home (the place your soul resides).

“Sometimes it takes a rainy day Just to let you know Everything’s gonna
be – all right, All right.
When you open up your life to the living All things come spilling in on you.
And you’re flowing like a river the Changer and the Changed.
You’ve got to spill some over Spill some over Spill some over. Over all.”
Song By Chris Williamson
Chris Williamson’s song, Waterfall, echoed in my mind as I fell to sleep last night. It had been such a rich, creative day of ceremony, art and deep sharing. As I witnessed the creation of beautiful art, listened to powerful stories, and handed tissues for the healing tears, I knew I was in the presence of true modern-day renaissance women.
This auspicious day of the Vernal Equinox & Full moon began with a rain shower. The sky cleared and we began our creative day by painting larger than life flowers on a 4’x32′ wood canvas. In honor of Ostara (Celtic Goddess of fertility and rebirth) we gave birth to a Flower Power mural. This was the priming of the pump to our creative flow.
As the sunset more women arrived to honor this sacred day.
We embodied the spirit of Ostara through dance, art and writing. We began our dance as a fertile seed, germinating deep within Mother Earth. Then sprouting into a dazzling, swirling array of wild flowers. Then returning to rest.
Satiated from our dance and still in our right mind we began to create oil pastel art from our expressive dance. Donna Marie prompted us into a writing flow that brought words to our art.
The results were extraordinary and as varied as all the well~watered Spring flowers.
Until we meet again, I hope you let your creativity flow like a waterfall, nurture your sprouting dreams and dance.

On this Super Moon, we Moon Mothers dedicated our ceremony to the Greek Goddess Aphrodite. Below are a few images of our sensual gathering and a poem that encapsulates the essence of our divine feminine circle.
This morning I woke at dawn, with a smile on my face, giggle in my heart and a feeling of soft sensuality. The subtle shift of energy created by full moon ritual carries on and on.

“How might your life have been different, if there had been a place for you?
A place for you to go… A place of women, to help you learn the ways of women…
A place where you were nurtured from an ancient flow sustaining you and steadying you as you sought to become yourself.
A place of women to help you find and trust the ancient flow already there within yourself…
Waiting to be released…
Judith Duerk Circle of Stones
On this night we will embody the spirit of Aphrodite through dance and loving care. Bring a blanket and an easy finger food dish to share.

We are called to gather by the ancient sound of the conch trumpet.
With the smoke of burning sage and Palo Santo we cleanse our aura field.
By honoring the seven directions we open ourselves to universal abundance and pure potentiality.
We are a joyful ever-changing tribe of maidens, mothers and sage~crones.
We are woven together by the never-ending golden thread of Goddess love.
Our flow of abundance is made real by the giving and receiving of tangible gifts.
Keeping rhythm with our drums we connect to the natural world and the sound of rain and hail beating on the roof top ignites our excitement.
We connect our soul essence to archetypical images, to strengthen our knowing of self and see clearly who we will become.
By candle light we share and witness our highest self-becoming.
We are the healers, prophets, poets, artists, teachers, students, drummers, dancers, truth seekers, sacred space makers, keepers of ancient Goddess rituals and witnesses to the evolution of divine feminine.
Hope one day you can join us.
Please see our events page for upcoming gatherings.
This is the year for Art. Time to express yourself in any medium you choose…. What will you create this year?
As we slowly move into the light of longer days, our artistic energy strengthens and beckons us to create.
Dear Moon Mothers,
Hope this letter finds you well and deep into the Winter Dream World. I love this time of long dreamy nights. My thoughts and dreams are like tiny seeds covered by Mother Earth, silently germinating, gaining strength to push forth and unfold into the reality of daylight. I hope that you too are engaging in this dream time of the year. Give yourself plenty of spacious time to plant dream seeds that will slowly sprout with the coming of the light in the New Year.
Winter Solstice is Friday December 21st. and the full moon is the next day, Saturday December 22nd. I will not call our Moon Mothers Tribe to gather on the December full moon. Instead I invite you to turn inward, send breath to your 3rd eye, open to pure imagination and conjure magnificent lucid dreams. Feed them soul energy so they will sprout into reality in 2019. What is it that you dream of? Time to open your journal and take a step into manifesting.
If you dream of travel, here’s information for a retreat in Bali this Spring. Facilitated by World Traveler~Moon Mother, Erica Crawford.
On this second full moon of Autumn we dedicated our full moon ceremony to Lakshmi, Hindu Goddess of abundance and wealth.
We all know abundance and wealth comes in many forms. It’s much more than money. It’s also deep relationships, dependable friends, health, family, helping hands, feelings of well being, happiness, and owning one’s gifts and talents.
Soul~Spirit~Light is real, and it’s fire and it’s liquid. It splashes from one’s luminous spirit to drench all within range with abundant joy.
It dissolves amnesia and bathes us in remembering juice so we can remember our own personal Soul~Spirit~Light power. It ignites smoldering embers into shining flames of brilliance. A bright Soul~Spirit~Light is true wealth. It cannot be bought or sold. It’s free. Just be in the presence of a joyful person and open yourself to their Soul~Spirit~Light. It will splash and hydrate you if you take off your raincoat.
Sitting on the lawn in the Emerging Space Greenhouse, we Moon Mothers took off our metaphorical rain coats and let our Soul~Spirit~Light splash.
From rich hand-made leather key chains, artisan ice cream, spoken and written words of shining brilliance, we Moon Mothers received a wealth of treasures to ignite our Soul~Spirit~Light.
“A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.” James Keller
“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle,
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
– The Buddha
We are holding a lot of rich Soul~Spirit~Lighting events in the coming weeks.

Until we meet again, keep shinning.
PS Thank you Amanda for the beautiful hand-made leather keychains, Thank you Eva for the artisan Ice Cream and thank you Erica for the excellent photography.
